Nairobi - Thika United are doing their level best to ensure the Thika Municipal Stadium is ready for the start of the season.
The stadium was banned by the KPL inspection committee who considered the playing surface dangerous for use by clubs and players.
Head coach John Kamau however says that they are working round the clock to ensure the ground is ready for the new season.
" We are trying our very best to have it re-done and cleared, he said.
" This has been our home-ground for years and we want it to remain that way. There is a strong backing from the local fans and we do not want it to disappear.
" Hopefully, we will be ready for the start of the season, he added.
The stadium was banned by the inspection committee which cited complaints by the the 15 other league clubs in making its decision.
