Thika United sign youngster Ludda

20 December 2013, 18:16

Nairobi - Thika United have put pen to paper with former Upper hill Secondary school ace Timothy Ludda.

The striker was among four talents spotted by Thika scouts during the August Brookside sponsored East Africa school games EASS games held in Uganda.

Team manager George Maina expressed his faith in the youngster.

“I am glad that the boy made a wise choice in coming to Thika United and am confident that through hard work, very soon he will join the likes of Sammy Mejja in the National teams.”

Asked whether there any big names joining the team Maina was quick to respond.

“In Thika there are no big names as every player works hard for his place in the playing unit. Our culture and focus in nurturing young talent is still our core.

" We are also on the verge of signing three players. Expect them by early January, he added.

The young forward is expected to partner Moses Arita who recently re-joined Thika, in attack. Also expected to join the club is a full-back, midfielder and a goalkeeper.
