Struggling Nakuru AllStars get injury boost

30 April 2014, 11:30

Nairobi - The Nakuru AllStars have been boosted by the impending return from injury of three key players as they aim for Kenyan Premier League survival.

AllStars trio of Arthur Weyula, Sebastian Muchera and Maurice Odhaimbo are on the right track back to full fitness, with all three having just returned to training following a layoff due to injuries.

Weyula – who has been recovering from a knee injury, has so far had a number of successful full training sessions with the rest of the team. The player - who has just featured in one premier league match, had been out of action for about three weeks.

Forward Sebastian Muchera has so far been doing some light training, as he has not yet recovered from a hamstring injury. The player suffered the injury while on one of the team’s training sessions in early March, and had been out of action for about eight weeks. The player has so far featured in only one premier league match.

Maurice Odhiambo has been on and off the doctor’s list, with his latest visit being for a hamstring injury he had suffered while preparing for AllStars’ last league outing - where the team played host to KCB FC six days ago. The player did his first full session today with the rest of his teammates, and his situation seems to be getting better.

One fully recovered, the three players will undoubtedly be a major boost to the team, as they currently prepare for this weekend’s league match against Nairobi City Stars.
