Stima to up the ante

Nairobi - Western Stima hope to establish more consistency as the season draws closer to its conclusion following a series of mixed results recently.
Kenya Power, as they are more affectionately known, currently occupy 10th spot on the Kenyan Premier League standings, just one point behind the Kenya Revenue Authority, who are in eighth.
Stima have consistently articulated their desire to finish the season in one of the coveted top-eight positions and there is now the very distinct possibility that this objective can be realised.
While Henry Omino's side have been somewhat stagnant during their last five fixtures, the KRA have actually lost momentum, following a spell which has included five consecutive losses. Their most recent defeat was recorded against Sony Sugar last weekend.
"KRA is just a point ahead of us, we are working hard to win our remaining matches so that we can finish in the top eight," said captain George Wesa on Tuesday.

While Stima sense the KRA's distress, Wesa said it was important for his players to keep their emotions in check at what is arguably the most crucial part of the season and spend more time focusing on executing the task at hand.
"All matches are tough at this stage of the season, because clubs have different ambitions at the moment, some want to avoid the drop," added Wesa.
"Some in title contention while all teams want to finish in good positions so we will treat all our matches as finals to ensure we get good results."
