Stima to decide on Baraza's fate

14 November 2013, 14:36

Nairobi - Western Stima chairman Laban Jobita says that the club will decide whether to renew head coach Francis Baraza's contract in the coming days.

Stima had a largely innefective season in the Kenyan Premier League in 2013, failing to reach their target which was making the top eight.

They finished in positiion 12 in the division, not any better than Henry Omino in the previous year and he ended up getting the sack.

Baraza's one year deal at the club is close to expiry and Jobita acknowledges that there will be a decision made very soon.

" At the moment we have not decided if any changes are necessary but we will do so in the coming days.

" It has been a long season so we want to relax first, reflect on the season and then think of the way forward in the very near future.

" I do not want to commit myself to any decision now until the club's top brass meets and decides on the way forward, he added.

Baraza has already intimated that he would like a second season at the club to improve on what has been a dissapointiung year for the club.
