Sony duo set for disciplinary action

Nairobi - The Kenyan Premier League (KPL) management is preparing disciplinary action against a Sony Sugar official and player following the abandonment of the clash between the Awendo side and Gor Mahia last Sunday.
Trouble erupted in the game in the 85th minute when Gor Mahia levelled the scores, which led to protests from the home fans that the ball had not crossed the line. That occasioned the premature stoppage.
Following the incident, the league management, in a letter to media houses, pointed out that both teams are exonerated from causing the abandonment but the two who were not named will be charged for inappropriate conduct as they are accused of having assaulted a match official.
