Sofapaka win it at the death

27 March 2012, 08:43 James Wokabi

Nairobi - Abdallah Juma’s last gasp freekick gave ten-man Sofapaka a thrilling 3-2 victory against Ulinzi Stars at Nyayo National Stadium on Monday night.

The soldiers had twice fought their way back into the game but the 2009 champions came up trumps at the death when Juma’s long range freekick found its way past Ulinzi keeper Francis Ochieng.

Veteran striker John Baraza netted a brace with Evans Amuoka and a James Mulinge penalty bringing Ulinzi back level from the spot but the grit, determination and resilience of Sofapaka helped them prevail.
