Sofapaka players vow to abandon Gor Mahia clash

Nairobi - Sofapaka players have vowed to abandon their upcoming Kenyan Premier League match with Gor Mahia due to unpaid salaries.
The players are demanding two months unpaid salaries and say that they will not take part in the league clash versus Gor Mahia.
" We have not been paid and we have always done our part to ensure that we do well for the club despite the circumstances, a player that did not want to be named said.
" The month is up and now we have to pay bills and school fees. What do we do?, he posed.
The club has been in trouble over financial matters in the past with players absconding training on several occasions in the past.
Sofapaka are fourth in the KPL standings.
