SoNy Sugar happy with Top 8 final spot

05 November 2015, 18:44

Nairobi - Sony Sugar interim coach Salim Babu admits reaching the final of the KPL Top 8 is a "dream come true" for everyone involved at the club.

The Sugar Millers cruised to a 3-1 win in the second-leg of their semi-final encounter at the Nyayo National Stadium on Wednesday, wrapping up a 5-3 aggregate success.

And, speaking after leading the club to their first-ever Top 8 final, a clearly delighted Babu told SuperSport: "It is a dream come true for all of us. The boys played as per instructions and we knew nothing would stop us from scoring goals.

"We pressed them hard and capitalized on counter attacks, I am happy the boys stuck to the game plan and executed it perfectly.

"Nobody expected us to reach this far but with determination and commitment we have achieved it. Reaching the final is a plus to us and we are now ready for any opponent."
