Situma happy to prove his doubters wrong

11 December 2013, 14:20

Nairobi - James Situma is happy to prove doubters wrong after cementing a regular place in the Harambee Stars line-up at the current CECAFA championships.

The Sofapaka defender has had a mixed season in the Kenyan Premier League but the Stars coaching staff trusted him with a position in the side for the championships where he has delivered.

After being written off by many, Situma is happy to be in a strong position for the national team.

" I'm happy to be in a good place with the national team and to be able to play well, he said.

" There were comments by many about my fitness and ability but the coach has trusted me and it is great to perform well.

" Now the hope is to finish the season with a title win. That would be great, he added.

Situma will likely start when Kenya takes on Sudan in the final Thursday.
