Nairobi - Shabana are hoping to make a swoop for Gor Mahia reserve goalkeeper Joel Bataro ahead of their return to the Kenyan Premier League.
Bataro has struggled for game-time with champions Gor, and finds himself as the third choice, behind Jerim Onyango and David Juma.
For now Bataro remains a Gor player, but admits that a move to Shabana is a possibility.
"We have had some informal talks with their officials about the possibility of me joining them but so far we are yet to conclude anything.

"As it stands, I am still a Gor Mahia player unless something dramatic happens soon," he was quoted as saying by The Star website.
According to Shabana chairman Jared Nivaton, the club are on a drive to add around 15 new players to the squad.
"We have it all figured out. We need a quality team comprising a beefed up squad and an experienced technical bench. We don't want to be bullied by our opponents and so we will sign appropriately so that we can compete favourably," said Nivaton.
