Serenge blasts Nigeria Football

Nairobi - Kenya National Under 17 soccer team coach Fred Serenge believes the team has more character and depth in their squad despite being bundled out of the tournament by fancied Nigeria Flamingoe’s.

The team after going down 3-0 in the return leg tie staged at the MK Abiola Stadium, Abeoukuta in Nigeria arrived back home with their heads high despite the defeat.

“We were applauded by the Nigeria crowd for fielding a team of girls who were of the correct age as they castigated their home federation for falsifying the ages of their girls, We played extremely well and held the Nigerians to a 0-0 draw by half time, which shocked the home crowd as well as the technical bench of the hosts, But our girls cracked in the second half," Serenge said.
