Nakuru - Ulinzi Stars recovered from a two month winless streak to beat Thika United 3-0 in one of the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) matches played on Sunday; just the kind of response the team’s head coach Salim Ali needed after falling by the same score line to Sofapaka in their previous game.
Speaking after the game, the coach said it was good to be back to winning ways and lauded his players for finding their scoring touch. He as well noted that given the team’s low scoring record in the season, it is an issue that will have to be addressed when the season runs out.
“It feels good to be back to winning ways and I am also happy that the team got the scoring touch because in the past few matches we have been creating numerous chances, but failing to score,” he said.
