Saleh backs Leopards for KPL in 2014

03 December 2013, 12:58

Nairobi - AFC Leopards defender Jackson Saleh has backed the club to win the Kenyan Premier League in 2014.

Leopards finished second overall behind Gor Mahia in the title race in 013 and Saleh is backing the club to strengthen in the off-season and do well in 2014.

He also believes James Nandwa will be a huge success at the club.

" I think that we have a good chance because we finished second despite being very inconsistent, he said.

" Overall the season was good but to miss out on the league title hurt us alot because we know that Gor Mahia are not better than us.

" Next season and especially with James Nandwa joining up on a full time basis, I'm sure you will see much better results.

Leopards have signed up Nandwa on a two year contract after leading the club to the GOtv Shield and Saleh has backed the Harambee Stars coach to do well.

" He is important to the team and the way we played. I'm sure he will maintain the form in the coming season.

" There will be consistency under him and I look forward to it, he added.
