Rwanda name side for Uganda friendly

Nairobi - The Rwandese national team squad for the weekend friendly versus the Uganda Cranes has been named.

Head coach Eric Nshimiyimana has named the provisional squad Tuesday as they prepare to face Uganda in an International friendly match.

The Cranes are set to host the Amavubi Stars on Friday November 15, 2013 in Kampala as both sides prepare for the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup that will kick off in Nairobi from Wednesday 27 November to Thursday 12 December.


Defender Salomon Nirisarike and skipper Haruna Niyonzima are the only professional players summoned for the clash with the rest locally based players.

Jonas Nahimana who has featured in the Kenyan Premier League for AFC Leopards has not been called up for the clash.

The two sides settled for a 2-2 draw in the last friendly match played February in Kigali.
