Paris Saint-Germain launch bid for Pato

11 January 2012, 15:02

France - French club Paris Saint-Germain have opened negotiations to sign AC Milan striker Alexandre Pato with a bid of €28 million ($35.7 million), La Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Wednesday.

The offer comes after weeks of mooted contacts between the two clubs, which gathered steam in late December with the arrival in Paris of coach Carlo Ancelotti.

The former boss of Juventus and Chelsea coached Pato at Milan for two seasons since the Brazilian joined the Devils in 2007.
