Nuttall: Title race still on

26 September 2014, 09:30

Nairobi - Gor Mahia head coach Frank Nuttall has not given up the fight to retain the Kenyan Premier League title following the 0-0 draw against Bandari on Wednesday.

K'Ogalo could have extended their lead at the top of the standings, but they were denied by the resilient Dockers at the City Stadium.

Nuttall admitted to the missed opportunity, with Sofapaka, Tusker FC and Chemelil Sugar hot on their heels with five matches left to play.

"It's unfortunate we drew," the Scotsman said after the match in which they were out to avenge their first-round defeat.

"We did not perform to our fans' expectations but the fight is still on. We haven't given up and will continue working hard."

Gor have 48 points on the board, with Sofapaka two points behind them in second place, while Tusker have 42 for third place and Chemelil are fourth with 41 points.
