No word from Gor on botched elections

16 December 2013, 12:13

Nairobi - Gor Mahia are yet to officially communicate over new dates for their elections which were disrupted by crowd trouble over the weekend.

The elections were set for Sunday but chaos erupted after some sections of Gor faithful claimed lack fairness in the process.

Police were thus brought in and the process cancelled.

To this point there has been no discussion as to what will come next and according to Secretary General George Bwana, they are not yet certain on what date the elections will be held.

" We have to take our time before we call on elections because we do not want a repeat of the chaos we saw on Saturday, he said.

" There will be a consultative meeting between all the stakeholders and we will chart the way forward as soon as we can.

For now, there is a leadership vacuum as the club had already dissolved the previous leadership so it awaits to be seen what will be the next step forward.
