No pay for axed Muhoroni players

Nairobi - Dropped Muhoroni Youth players, Sammy Wakhanya, Geoffrey Simiyu and Gaddy Kawuondi will not be paid this month’s salary, according to Chief Executive Officer James Orundu.
This comes a day after the Nyanza-based Kenyan Premier League club terminated the trio’s contracts owing to gross misconduct. Orundu says the decision to sack the three players was reached after consultation with the technical bench.
“We don’t owe the sacked players anything. One is paid only as per the services they delivered. How can you pay an employee who abscond duty? We normally pay our players at the end of every month and since they’ve not been attending training there is no way we will pay them,” said Orundu.
