Ndugwa stars in Leopards victory

08 June 2015, 10:05

Nairobi - Striker Karim Ndugwa produced a heroic performance in goal as trouble ridden AFC Leopards edged out Sofapaka 1-0 in a Kenyan Premier League (KPL) match at Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday.

With Leopards only able to raise 13 players for the match after some boycotted over unpaid dues, Ndugwa was pressed into action as a goalkeeper and went to put a man of the match display including a second half penalty save as Ingwe claimed a vital win.

Kick off for the game was delayed by an hour as the Leopards' technical bench scrambled to raise a team amidst the boycott. They finally succeeded but had only Lamin Diallo, Clement Mata and Emmanuel Ngama on the bench when it started after the majority opted to stay away.
