Ndubuisi vows to save City Stars

11 August 2014, 11:59

Nairobi - Nairobi City Stars head coach Robinson Ndubuisi has vowed to steer his side away from the Kenyan Premier League relegation dogfight.

City Stars lost 1-0 against Western Stima on Saturday, but are still safe in 14th place with 18 points from 21 matches played thus far.

Only three points separates them from the drop zone, but Ndubuisi insists his charges will rebound and claw their way up the table.

"Our opponents got their chance and took advantage of it for the win," Ndubuisi said after the game played at the Mumias Stadium.

"Nothing went wrong on our side except for some lapses in our striking force.

"We will therefore go back to the drawing board and make necessary corrections and come back with a winning formula. City Stars can never go to relegation."
