Nandwa seeks employment

16 December 2014, 12:59

Nairobi - James Nandwa has recently expressed the desire to coach in the Kenyan Premier League once again, after falling out of favour with Leopards.

During his tenure at the helm of Ingwe, Nandwa failed to produce a series of positive results and subsequently faced the axe.

However, having previously coached at Karuturi Sports and Tusker, Nandwa believes he still has a considerable amount to offer the sport in that country, and all he is asking for is an opportunity to prove it.

"I have been lying low this year because of what happened, but I am now eager to get back to the pressures and the demands," Nandwa told the KPL portal.

Nandwa did confirm that no team had approached him during the post season but has not given up on the possibility that he could be coaching in the KPL once again next season.

"The career that I have chosen is one that is highly unpredictable. I believe that I am a good tactician," said Nandwa.

"The work I have done in the past and my achievements speak for me. I am also well qualified so I think it is just a matter of time before I get back to the job or another one," added the Kenyan tactician.

Following his departure, Leopards went on to finish the season in sixth position, which was more than credible under the circumstances. Nandwa has not ruled out the possibility that he could return to Leopards next term, although that appears to be mere speculation at this juncture.

"Whatever happened at Ingwe was quite normal, according to me. The team was going through some challenges, and the administration did what they thought was right. It (Leopards) is, however, a club that I love. So if they need me and we agree on something then I have no problem going back," he said.
