Nairobi - The Afraha Stadium in Nakuru will host four matches in the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup.
Afraha, which is home to the Ulinzi Stars in the Kenyan Premier League, has been penned in at the last minute to host the final group matches of the competition.
The matches were earlier scheduled for
Nyayo National Stadium.
The decision was arrived at after discussions with the
local organizing committee and tournament broadcasters Supersport and according to sources privy to the meeting, the decision has been made in-order to spread the wings of the tournament to the Rift Valley which had been left out.
The matches that will be played there will see Burundi take on Tanzania and Somalia face Zambia on Wednesday 4 December, with the clashes pitting Rwanda and Eritrea and Uganda and Sudan also taking place at the venue the following day.
The tournament proper kicks off Wednesday in Nairobi.
