Musa elated after title victory

02 November 2015, 13:22

Nairobi - Gor Mahia assistant captain Musa Mohamed expressed his delight after helping K'Ogalo claim the 2015 Kenyan Premier League (KPL) title.

What made the feat all the more remarkable was the fact Gor remained unbeaten the entire campaign, with Mohamed captaining the side while skipper Jerim Onyango remained on the substitute's bench for all their league games.

Gor recorded 24 wins in the 30 matches played this term, finishing the campaign with impressive goal difference of 48.

"We feel so good and we thank God for this moment," Mohamed was quoted as saying by supersport.com. "My team mates too have been good with the consistency all season and the coaches for the tactics and good motivation.

"All these and of course our fans have contributed to the success.

"Personally, I am thankful to God for enabling me be fit enough to play in all the games in the season and I say it is good experience to me and my career to feature in all matches for a club like Gor Mahia.

"It is a very good feeling even to be able to lead this team," he concluded.
