Mururi rues costly defensive lapse

Nairobi - Chemelil Sugar coach Mike Mururi was left ruing his side's "poor
defending" following the 1-1 draw against Sofapaka on Wednesday.
The Sugar Millers looked set to climb to third in the Kenyan Premier
League standings as they led their more illustrious opponents heading
into the closing stages at the Kenyatta Stadium.
However, a lapse
in concentration at the back allowed Batoto ba Mungu to draw level,
leaving Chemelil fifth on the table and coach Mururi less than
"We were well on our way to picking three points and
then we allowed Sofapaka to come back into the match. I can only
attribute it to poor defending," he told Goal.
"It is a problem we have been having for the last few matches and one we need to rectify quickly."
