Munro did not storm out of FKF- KPL meeting

Nairobi - Mathare United chairman Bob Munro has refuted reports he stormed out of a
meeting between the Kenyan Premier League and the Football Kenya
The two football bodies were meeting in Nairobi on Wednesday to
discuss the running of the country's top-flight league in 2015, and
Munro was seen leaving the meeting early, but claims he had prior
commitments and had to excuse himself.
His statement indicates that he had full confidence in the remaining officials' ability to resolve the matter at hand.
simple facts are: The meeting was scheduled to start at 9:00am, I had a
prior commitment for an important meeting at 1:00pm," read his
"I had to return two urgent family calls during the
meeting and at least two other participants had to leave for other
meetings before noon.
"I alerted the KPL Chairman I would also have to leave soon and at 12:30pm I calmly and quietly left the meeting.
"To the many journalists who immediately tackled me outside the meeting room, I calmly explained the above facts.
also stated that, like those who left earlier, I had full confidence in
the KPL chairman and remaining KPL club chairmen to represent our
clubs. As the TV cameras were rolling throughout, the above facts and
statements can easily be verified by the TV journalists."
