Mumias Sugar betters Leopards deal

Mumias - Mumias Sugar has renewed its sponsorship of AFC Leopards following the side’s commendable finish in the just-ended season.
The two-year sponsorship will see the team get KES60 million during the period.
This marks a significant improvement from the previous sponsorship that saw the side receive the same amount of money over a three-year period.
AFC Leopards Secretary General George Aladwa confirmed the deal adding that they were only waiting to put pen to paper.
He added the team was nonetheless still scouting for other sponsors to help it meet its demands.
“The club is talking to various potential sponsors to come on board as we seek to raise more money to cover our expenses,” said Aladwa.
Leopards finished second behind eventual winners Gor Mahia in the local league.
With a total of 50 points, they ended the campaign seven points lesser than their rivals.
They reached the group stages of the Orange Confederation of African Football (CAF) Champions League.
They will return to continental action following their high finish in the league this just-ended season.
