Mariga lauds Michel appointment

11 September 2012, 16:41Collins Okinyo

Nairobi - Midfielder Macdonald Mariga who plies his trade for Italian side Inter Milan has applauded the arrival of new Harambee Stars coach Henry Michel describing it as a new dawn for the country.

Mariga said Michel was coming in at a time that the team was being rebuilt to focus on future assignments having been knocked out of 2013 Afcon qualifers and struggling in the race for a place in 2014 World Cup.

"It’s a new dawn for Kenya and am happy to see an experienced coach like Michel coming to Kenya. Its upon all the stakeholders to give the new coach full support if he is the man to move the country forward and make Stars competitive once again," Mariga told supersport.com.
