Nairobi - Gor Mahia goalkeeper Ivo Mapunda has welcomed competition for the club’s goalkeeping position and feels that it will enhance the club’s playing unit.
Mapunda has been a second choice goalie since he arrived at Gor last season, playing second fiddle to Jerim Onyango. This year, he will have more competition in the shape of Zachary Onyango, the former Sofapaka keeper who has arrived in the current transfer window.
Mapunda, a former Tanzanian international keeper admits that it will be tough getting a regular spot but he is up for the challenge.
