Nairobi - Former AFC Leopards chairman Alex Ole Magelo says he will vie for the presidency during the FKF elections next year.
Magelo said Wednesday during a function in Nairobi, that he will look to vie for the top seat and said he has what it takes to lift Kenyan football.
He condemned the current office for letting the game down and insisted that he will change the direction of the game in Kenya if given a chance.
" We can no longer leave the soccer of this country to unprofessional men and women who have been unable to run it in spite of the immense financial support they get from FIFA and Kenyans. We need a situation where we do what is good for our soccer and I have the secret to it, that I will unleash if elected the president of FKF come the next elections, he said.
Magelo, who is the current Speaker of the Nairobi County Assembly, says that the current office must explain its performance to Kenyans.
" Come the next elections, they have to be ready to account for their contribution to Kenyan football. This time we will ask stakeholders to demand that everyone tables their CV's as far as contribution to Kenyan football is concerned.
