Logarusic warns Leopards players

06 March 2015, 17:50

Nairobi - AFC Leopards coach Zdravko Logarusic has warned his squad that any laziness or indiscipline will not be tolerated, as long as he remains in charge of the club.

The Croatian tactician is famous for his no-nonsense approach to managing footballers, having ruled with an iron fist during his time with Gor Mahia in 2012.

And, with the coach looking to revive Leopards' fortunes following their failed Kenyan Premier League season in 2014, the coach has already started looking at weeding out the weak.

He said: "If you are lazy, or indisciplined, your days at Ingwe are numbered for as long as I am the coach," said Logarusic, who has previously indicated most of the players are unfit and lazy.

"I will only be choosing players on merit. I will not care whether a player has been here for long or he is a senior player to me each player must work hard to earn a position in the team."

He added: "All players must know why they are at Leopards. They must take matters more seriously and work hard. I shall not condone lateness or those absconding training. They will not play and will also forfeit their allowances."
