Logarusic disillusioned as derby day arrives

Nairobi - AFC Leopards coach Zdravko Logarusic has revealed that he is somewhat disillusioned with the current circumstances at the club.
Leopards have become notorious for failing to pay their players, for
protracted periods, but now there is the added complication of the team
being divided by the rift which exists between the Kenya Premier League
and the Football Kenya Federation.
"I don't know my team," Logarusic told Simba Super Soccer.
"Things I am facing at Leopards are new to me in my 20 year coaching
experience. Most things I have never seen them in my life but this is
"I have to go below European expectations. I am worried because I
don't know my team. When I know it, I don't care who is on the other
side whether its Harambee Stars or Tanzania national team, I can tell
them to come but the problem now is I am not familiar with my team since
we spend less time in training with them due to off the pitch
Leopards are a rather peculiar club, in that they have only lost one
match in five outings this season, despite the off-the-field issues
which have transpired over the past 12-18 months.
The next assignment for the club will be a difficult fixture against
the unbeaten Gor Mahia and Logarusic remains undeterred, nevertheless.
He added: "Because my players are confident, for without it they
can't be on the pitch, in my presence and that game (versus Gor Mahia)
will decide who is me and who is not me. AFC Leopards is strong because I
am on the bench.
