Liadi wants revenge

30 July 2014, 16:40

Nairobi - Enyimba defender Semiu Liadi said that his side will have revenge in mind when they face Giwa FC in the Federation Cup semi-finals on Thursday.

The defending champions have failed to beat Giwa this season. Their latest meeting ended with the Peoples' Elephant losing 1-0 away and drawing 0-0 at home.

Liadi is confident of ending the hoodoo against the Jos-based outfit this time around, and set up a final showdown against the winner between Dolphins and Prime FC.

"It is true we couldn't beat them in our two previous games in the league," he told African Football. "But this is the Federation Cup and we are the holders.

"We are going for a revenge to see that we beat them and send them packing. They are good, but we will be better in the game on Thursday."

This year's final has been set for Saturday, August 16 at a yet to be announced venue.
