Nairobi - AFC Leopards clinched the Peace Cup after edging out their archrivals Gor Mahia 6-5 on post match penalties after both teams battled to a barren draw in regulation time at Nyayo National Stadium.
Gor Mahia defender Chris Wekesa gifted Leopards the cup and Shs1.2million after he missed his spot kick with Leopards fans storming inside the pitch in jubilation.
Leopards scorers were Jonas Nahimana, Bernard Mangoli, Edwin Barasa, Mike Barasa, Oscar Kadenge and new signing Abbas Kiwalaabye acquired recently from Chemelil Sugar. Charles Okwemba however squandered his spot kick.
