Leopards see off Mathare

22 July 2013, 12:25

Mumias - AFC Leopards thumped Mathare United 2-0 in a Kenyan Premier League clash played at the Mumias Sports Complex on Sunday.

Allan Wanga slipped just as he was about to get a touch on to a low cross in the first minute and the ball sailed out for a goal kick while Mathare strung together passes of their own in the third minute but the move was cut short by a Jonas Nahimana foul on Gabriel Nduru.

Vincent Okello took the resulting free kick but his delivery sailed narrowly over the bar. In the 11th minute, it was the Slum Boys’ time to defend as Leopards came storming forward. Gabriel Nduru managed to intercept but his clearance hit Allan Wanga and the ball fell to Edwin Seda who shot wide from close range.
