Leopards mentor content with result

10 February 2014, 10:23

Nairobi - AFC Leopards coach, James Nandwa, is content with the two goals scored against visiting Ethiopian Defense FC in an Orange Confederation of African Football Associations Confederation Cup.

Leopards beat the tricky Ethiopians 2-0 in a hotly-contested Sunday afternoon match and thus boosting their chances of progressing further in the tournament.

The first leg match was played at Nyayo National stadium and the two teams will head to Addis Ababa for the return match where Defense SC will enjoy home ground advantage.

Nandwa described the first leg encounter as “fair.”

“We did not know the team that much but I could see that they had good ball possession. I have to give that to them,” said Nandwa.

The Orange CAF Confederations Cup, which is in its 11th edition, is the continent’s second biggest club football tournament.

The winner of the 2014 CAF cup will earn the right to play in the 2015 CAF Super Cup.
