Leopards limp into SA minus Wanga

Nairobi - Kenya's representatives in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Confederation Cup, AFC Leopards, are expected in South Africa on Thursday afternoon ahead of their continental assignment.
AFC Leopards will battle out with the host nation's SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday evening in a match that promises fireworks.
The two warring clubs come into this match with mixed results posted over the weekend with AFC Leopards being held to a goalless draw back home by Ulinzi Stars while their rivals SuperSport United is bubbling with confidence following a narrow 1-0 weekend victory against city rivals University of Pretoria.
AFC Leopards, whose marksman striker, Allan Wanga, picked up a knee injury during training session on Wednesday is a cause for concern for the Kenyans as his void might cause undesired results.
Coach James Nandwa had said if Wanga failed to recover on time, the move injury would be a huge blow to the club considering that he was the main architect of the two brilliant goals he scored away from home against Ethiopia's Defence Force in Addis Ababa a fortnight ago.
Although Paul Were appears a possible replacement, Wanga’s boots might prove too big for him to fill.
On the contrary, SuperSport United will be looking forward to the match as their marksman, Senegalese Mame Niang, is in hot goalscoring form.
Niang scored the only goal of the match on Saturday against city rivals University of Pretoria in the prestigious Nedbank Cup Last 16 match.
SuperSport United would be looking forward to scoring as many goals as possible in order to ensure when they travel to Kenya for an away encounter next week.
