Leopards hope to take charge of season

14 April 2014, 15:05

Nairobi - AFC Leopards are hoping to take charge of their season before it goes into meltdown, striker Jacob Keli says.

Leopards are 1th in the Kenyan Premier League and are already seven points of top spot.

They sacked head coach James Nandwa last week and dropped valuable points at home to the Nairobi City Stars a few days later, a poor result for the club in the wake of a poor season.

They know that there is not much room for error in the remainder of the season and according to Keli, the players know what is needed of them.

" It is tough for us because the season might end badly, which is not what we want. We are hoping to make better use of the season.

" We will improve and we know that we have no option but to, he added.

Leopards are hoping to name a new head coach at the club this week to replace the deposed Nandwa.
