Nairobi - AFC Leopards have once again come out to deny reports that they have sacked head coach James Nandwa and replaced him with Italian coach Giovanni Flippini.
In a press release the club insisted that the rumours are just hot air and that nothing of the sort has come to fruition.
" AFC Leopards has not made any changes in the technical bench contrary to reports appearing in sections of the media.
" James Nandwa remains the head coach assisted by Mickey Weche and Washington Muhanji (goal keeper trainer) and Francis Xavier as Team Manager. We call upon media houses to refrain from reporting sensational articles without counter checking the facts from the highest authority of the club.
" Being a popular club, we continue receiving several unsolicited applications from various coaching candidates but that remains just that-unsolicited applications. We call upon our fans to rally behind the team in tomorrow’s Top 8 encounter against Bandari FC in Nakuru, the statement signed by secretary general George Aladwa read.
Nandwa has been under pressure from Leopards fans following a slow start to the season.
