Nairobi - Kenyan Premier League (KPL) giants AFC Leopards are planning to take their fight against hooliganism during the team’s matches a notch higher by installing surveillance cameras in stadia – the club’s chairman Alex Ole Magelo said.
The team, which boasts a big fan base in the Kenyan top flight, has in the past few seasons had problems with fan trouble and even though the hooliganism cases were at a minimum in the 2012 campaign, Ole Magelo wants to wipe the vice out completely.
He said as one of the oldest teams in Kenyan football, it was only imperative that they maintain a good image all through the season and admitted that the installation of cameras will go a long way in keeping unruly fans in check.
