Leopards adamant over Sony match

14 October 2014, 08:13

Nairobi - AFC Leopards will not honour their rescheduled Kenyan Premier League (KPL) fixture against Sony Sugar slated for this Thursday at Awendo Green Stadium.

AFC Leopards chairman Alan Kasavuli and Secretary General George Aladwa have stated that the club will stick with the initial verdict by KPL to award them three points after Sony failed to show up for the match at Afraha Stadium in Nakuru in August.

“It is unfortunate that IDAC reversed the verdict on technical grounds yet they have failed to find Sony culpable of not attending the match as originally scheduled. Sony even failed to give even a protest letter to KPL showing reasons as to why they did not attend the match,” Kasavuli complained.
