Leopards, Tusker held as KPL resumes

03 July 2014, 11:50

Nairobi - AFC Leopards and Tusker FC were both held as Kenyan Premier League action resumed Wednesday.

Leopards were held to a 0-0 draw by Western Stima at the Nyayo National Stadium with Top Fry AllStars holding ten man Tusker to a 1-1 draw at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.

Leopards flattered to deceive versus Stima despite new signings Joseph Wanyonyi and Humphrey Mieno playing a part.

In Nakuru, Tusker had Osborne Monday sent off in the second half as they secured a point, courtesy of Ismael Dunga who came off the bench to cancel out Peter Nganga's goal.

It was thus a missed opportunity for the brewers who failed to move level on points with leaders Gor Mahia. They have 28 points from 15 games, two less than Gor.

The AllStars have 8 points, six off safety.

Leopards on the other hand have 18 points, 12 off the pace even though they have a game in hand, while Stima are on 21.
