Lavatsa makes Algerian move

13 January 2014, 12:02

Nairobi - Edwin Lavatsa has joined Algerian top flight side AC Algier.

The Gor Mahia striker has been linked with a move away from the Kenyan Premier League champions during the current off-season and has finally landed his move.

Gor Mahia had tried hard to block off a move for the 21 year old striker but have finally agreed to let go of the Harambee Stars striker.

It is understood that Harambee Stars coach Adel Amrouche, a big fan of Lavatsa's has been key in making the move happen.

" Edwin Lavatsa has left the club for Algeria and will play in their top flight.

" We wish him a good time there as he has been a good servant for the club during his time here, Secretary General George Bwana said.

Algier are currently fifth in the Algerian top flight.
