Lavatsa eyed by AFC Leopards

09 September 2014, 12:38

Nairobi - Edwin Lavatsa is being looked at as a possible signing by AFC Leopards.

The striker is without a club after being dropped by Algerian club MC Alger in the close season and is currently training with lower league side Kibera Black Stars.

Leopards are said to have tried signing him in the June window, but Lavatsa was said to be keen on a move abroad, but they will re-do the deal in January if he does not land a club.

" We are looking at him and we are serious about him as he is a player we have liked a lot, a member of Leopards technical team said.

" There is lots that has to happen before we complete a deal and it is not agreed as yet but if possible we will try in January, the source added.

Leopards are looking to replace the departed Allan Wanga who has moved to Sudan club El Merreikh.
