Lavatsa, Musa, Ade renew Gor Mahia contracts

18 December 2013, 18:00

Nairobi - Kevin Omondi, Edwin Lavatsa, Musa Mohammed and Patrick Oboya have all renewed contracts with the club.

According to the club hierarchy, they have all signed two year deals to keep them at the club until December 2015.

The four and especially Oboya and Lavatsa had been linked with moves elsewhere as their deals run out but the club has come out in force to deal with the matter conclusively.

" I'm happy that the players will remain here and build a bigger and better Gor Mahia for the future, Secretary General George Bwana said.

Lavatsa was happy to extend his stay at the club.

" I have had my Premier League experience at Gor Mahia and it is great to commit the next two years to this great club, he said.

Omondi is looking to win some more titles at the club.

" Gor Mahia is not just a football club but a life for me and I am honoured to stay here and try help the club win more and more silverware, he added.

Head coach Bobby Williamson was also glad to have the players remain in his plans for the coming seasons.

" They are all important players for the first team and it is good news that they will keep on playing for the club.

Gor will take part in the CAF Champions League in 2014.
