Kiongera back at KCB

17 January 2014, 16:41

Nairobi - Paul Mungai Kiongera has returned to KCB where he is expected to play in the coming season.

The versatile forward had a poor season at Gor Mahia in the 2013 season where he was on loan, and with a raft of forward players arriving at the KPL champions, he has been deemed surplus to requirements.

According to KCB head coach Juma Abdalla, the player's return will be a huge boost to the hopes of the club of replicating their strong finish in 2013 to 2014.

" Kiongera is back at the club and is training with us, Abdalla said.

" He is a top player and one we need if we are to re-establish ourselves in the position we did in the 2013 season, next season.

" We have lost a lot of players in the current off-season and need a number of new faces to help us out and Kiongera does that, he added.

Kiongera was one of KCB's best players in the 2012 KPL season.
