30 November 2012, 12:11
Nairobi - Former Harambee Stars head coach Francis Kimanzi has been handed a US$10,000 (about KSh800,000) fine and a four-match suspension by the Confederation of African Football (Caf).
The ban was for throwing a water bottle at a match official during an Africa Cup of Nations qualification match against Togo, played on 17 June 2012.
In a release of sanctions by Caf’s disciplinary board after a meeting held at their headquarters in Cairo on 26 November, it is indicated that Kimanzi will not be allowed to serve in four matches, “in the frame of all Caf competitions”.
