Kimanzi appointed Tusker FC coach

27 November 2013, 18:59

Nairobi - Francis Kimanzi has been appointed head coach of Kenyan Premier League club Tusker FC.

The former Harambee Stars head coach takes over from Robert Matano with immediate effect and will look to change the fortunes of a club that struggled in the 2013 season.

Club chair James Musyoki confirmed the move and said that the club has chosen the right man to lead their group of players.

" Kimanzi takes over on a two year deal, he said.

" He has the experience, class and expertise to lead the club forward and I am extremely delighted with his arrival. We have a very good group of young players that will benefit from him being at the club, he added.

Kimanzi was chosen ahead of the likes of Jan Koops and Zdravko Logarusic for the role which will see him at the club until 2015.
