Kimani: Ingwe will improve

26 January 2015, 14:22

Nairobi - AFC Leopards defender Anthony Kimani has promised big improvements from the side as they gear up for the 2015 Kenyan Premier League campaign.

The Nairobi giants produced some dire performances last year as they finished the top-flight season in seventh, a whopping 19 points behind champions Gor Mahia, while they also surrendered their GoTV Shield title.

However, Kimani, who missed the entirety of 2014 through injury, has vowed his side will come back this year stronger than before.

"We will work very hard to ensure that our fans, who have really motivated us and stood strong with the team through thick and thin, get something to smile about at the end of the 2015 season," the centre-back said.

"We have a good team, one of the best teams in the country and I am sure we can do well.

"We have a good assistant coach (Yusuf Chippo) here and from his performance in training and outside there, the fans and players have no reason to worry. We will do better this year."
