Kenyatta raring to go again

19 March 2015, 14:12

Nairobi - Ushuru FC head coach Ken Kenyatta is looking forward to the resumption of the league, adding that the recent three-week hiatus had an adverse effect on football in Kenya.

The Kenya Premier League and the Football Kenya Federation have been engaged in a bruising battle in 2015 and there is no sign of it ending just yet. However, football in the country will continue this week, which is a positive for all involved.

The next assignment for Ushuru will be a highly anticipated fixture against Tusker at the Nyayo National Stadium on Sunday, and Kenyatta maintains that his team is adequately prepared for it.

"The players were a bit low in terms of confidence but we were just training in case of anything," Kenyatta told futaa.com on Wednesday.

"So we are preparing and we will be ready for the match on the weekend. It is a good thing too that the action will resume."

Ushuru lost their first match of the campaign, against Sofapaka towards the end of February. However, that was always going to be a difficult fixture. Kenyatta will have an opportunity to remedy things this week.
